Parents teaching healthy habits

Looking for ways to teach your child healthy habits and make permanent lifestyle changes?  A new book, called Be Well,  developed by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation might help.   This free or low-cost book comprises a collection of more than 75 health tips from moms.  Topics include how to get kids to eat more vegetables, limiting screen time, and increasing physical activity levels.  The book is available in English and Spanish and can be downloaded for free or purchased at a minimal cost from www.bewellbook.org.    Information from website states, “The book showcases moms who are working to establish lifelong, healthy habits in their kids with the hope that their stories will inspire other parents to help their children establish healthy eating and exercising habits.”  The website also posts videos of moms from all walks of life who have made changes in theirs and their kids’ lifestyles.  It is definitely worth checking out!
